To be perfectly fair, the artist who drew the original manga was also a hentai artist as his "night job." The shameless fanservice in the anime is just a continuation of that.

I find the ridulously gratuitous fanservice hilarious, in a kind of "Who the hell could think about sex at a time like this?" way. It's all shoved in your face, and I do kind of feel bad for anyone who finds it genuinely sexy. Kinda like Megan Fox's mechanic skills (). The only times I've found it annoying is when they still do it at the same time as they're trying to be serious.

Also, I dispute a nailgun's effectiveness on zombies. Zero stopping power, for fuck's sake.

Meh, I've seen shows with worse fanservice. We're just lucky the plot hasn't become secondary to the fanservice(at least, from my knowledge, I haven't read the manga yet).

That said, I'm really enjoying watching it.

Actually, considering the sheer amount of fanservice, it never really overpowered the plot in the manga. I mean, bananatits and panty shots on every page, but the story has continued to be: find family, kick zombie ass on the way.

The fanservice is absolutely ridiculous (like, at this point Rei's panties should probably be considered a main character, they've had more screen time than half the rest of the main cast) but it kinda works for this series, I think, because the whole thing is so over-the-top ridiculous zombie-killin' fun. It's like the best bad zombie flick ever in anime form, I love it so~~
