FUCK YEAH, RED DWARF SECRET!

You can consider me one of those three people, OP, I loved this book. Better than Backwards, plus it had Kochanski in it! Whom I'm not supposed to like, but then fuck fandom telling what to think.
You write it, I'd read it :)

I always found the novelisations a little... depressing considering the general tone of the show they were tied to. But I'll admit I liked Last Human better than Backwards.
That aside, anon if you feel like writing, then write. There's still Dwarf fans out there aplenty who'd probably appreciate a well-written continuation to the novel canon.
Lord knows whatever you do it can't be worse than bits of Series 8.

Really? 7 was not my favorite - I disliked Rimmer being gone, and I liked Kochanski (but I would've liked it more if they were both there, as in 8). But the whole thing toward the end with the arm and all ... eh.
