Uh, it's Alan Alda as Hawkeye. You should not feel any guilt. Whatsoever. I want to hit the MASH him. I otherwise just want to know him and possibly have him be my grandfather when I see his more recent work (like West Wing, omg Vinick!), or read his books -- which are pretty damn funny). Alda himself isn't particularly hot and never has been, but there are interviews with him where he talks about having to figure out how to act as Hawkeye, and they basically boil down to him channeling every ounce of sex appeal and magnetism he's got directly at the camera. It's like he had to convince himself every day that every single person on set, down to the lighting guys, would happily biff off and have sex with him at any second. So, Hawkeye's really, really damn hot, and it's on purpose. Don't feel weird anon, and enjoy your dreams.

Because it's HAWKEYE, ffs. EVERYONE is allowed to love Hawkeye, doesn't matter how old/young you are. The show went off before I was born, too, but I still grew up on it, and I still adore Hawk. <3
