I do antagonize people on the internet, and sometimes IRL, but the level of debate in fandom secrets is infuriating to anyone who does try to work to change the things they hate about the world. Really, read some of this wank, it's mainly a bunch of self-righteous bullshit. Once in a blue moon there's an intelligent conversation in this comm in which people listen to each other and are open enough to see that their own perspective is not the only one that matters. Mostly, it's people being horribly rude and obnoxious to each other because they don't agree. Even people arguing a position that coincides with my own tends to make me want to bang my head against the wall.
So yeah, at this point since a good portion of people here seem to work hard at being assholes to each other, and my own weakness compels me not to look away (which would make me a better person, but I guess I'm just not, whatever), I just fuel the fire a bit more for my own entertainment. Am I a good person? Maybe, maybe not. It's my anger at the world that demands I do all the shit that I do. Just because I fight for causes I believe in doesn't mean I'm claiming to be a saint.
Maybe you should get out into the world more. There are just as many selfish reasons to do good things as there are altruistic reasons. But no, I have no intention of indulging people on this comm who whine and whine about how unjust the world is and then forget about it when they navigate off of livejournal.
