The same thing happens with most pop-culture sooner or later. First, a smaller group of hardcore dedicated fans come to it, and it stays relatively obscure (in terms of wide MASS mainstream appeal) and wonderful for years. And then... it gets repackaged and tweaked slightly. The re-vamp treatment happens and EVERYONE and their mother jumps on the bandwagon. First, it was the new vampire craze. Then everyone, (even the people who made fun of dedicated Trekkies) became a Star Trek lover, years behind the times. And let's not forget that the college kids all suddenly love Betty White, after a stupid Superbowl commercial. Bandwagoners never die.

"Bandwagoners never die."
But they can be bound, gagged, and deposited into the Pit of Eternal Stench, right? Or is that too much to hope for? :D

/wanted The Betty to adopt her when the Alchemist was a wee lass of five. ^_^ Alchemist is on the downslide to 30, still would appreciate being adopted by The Betty.
