A friend linked me to this secret, and seeing that someone else had made this observation was so relieving. It's ridiculous, how the majority of fandom doesn't see the implications in that scene, and I'm glad someone else noticed it. As someone who's played Raphael in LJ RP for three years, this part of his development is vital in understanding the character, and I wish more Angel Sanctuary fans recognized it. Thank you, OP.

What got me to post this actually stemmed from RP advice I saw for his character sometime back, about how "it would take a lot for Raphael to feel about a girl the same way he felt about Barbiel, Sara, or Belial" or something along those lines. At the time I didn't even play him but I still just absolutely balked at that.
