I don't care about her.
That being said, all the English speaking media's "OH she's SUPER popular! SUPER POPULAR! Millions of fans!!! AN IDOL IDOL IDOL! No1 on the charts!" hoopla is ridiculous annoying.

I don't think she's that bad. She's nothing extraordinary, but she lucked out and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous.

I can't stand her.
I saw some of her dance covers on Youtube before she became some kind of idol in Japan and just felt annoyed.
She's not cute, her dancing is mediocre and she sings in a monotone. Seriously, am I missing something?

Can't speak for her western fans, but in Japan it's because she's an underage girl who dances in miniskirts and there are a lot of panty shots. her Japanese fanbase is basically ~50 yr old men.

No, you are not.

I watched that documentary the other day that the bbc did. How anyone can not be creeped out that their 15 yo daughter is receiving expensive gifts from random possibly much much old men is beyond me.

Other than that I thought she seemed lovely.

What annoyed me the most about that documentary, was when she received that gift and then turned around to basically say "I think my biggest fan is creepy". Not that she even showed any gratitude at all.

I hate her so much that I love her.

I saw her on the BBC.

Then I went out and killed a small puppy.

She's going to get a really big head, getting so much fame at that age for doing pretty much nothing except dancing around (badly) in knee-high socks to anime tunes.

I feel kind of bad for her, honestly. Although I still marvel at how she managed to murder Danjo of all songs.

Um, I think she looks really horribly... awkward when she dances. Is it just me? I mean it's major secondhand embarrassment for me...

I love her in that so-bad-she's-good way ~~and I secretly want to be her.~~ And that documentary on her was...interesting, to say the least. I think she's trolling Japan, to be honest.

I don't care about idols one way or other, but it's hilarious/sad that western media just now (http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/2010/aug/13/beckii-schoolgirl-superstar-tv-review) realised why and with who she is popular

Other than being a semi-cute loli, I really don't get the attraction. Her dancing kind of sucks, her singing is mediocre, and her parents are really rather crazy for thinking it's totally normal to allow their daughter to be lusted after by 50 year old men. Cultural differences be damned, they're going to get their daughter stalked and killed.

I used to dislike her but after watching some of that BBC documentary, I'm more apathetic. Between her and her parents, Beckii comes off as the rational one. Her ear muffs annoy me tho

And here I thought f!s was safe from her :|
