I'd think there'd be more hate for how Freddie and Carly both ignore/laugh about her really fucked up homelife. Because man, some of the "jokes" they write for Same are really sad when you get to thinking about it.

Eh, that just happens on TV Tropes sometimes. Someone makes a few edits, and a few more tropers agree, and so forth. Other times it doesn't go anywhere - for example from an unrelated fandom, there appears to be one lone troper who's convinced Rose Lalonde has gone to the dark side and is now in cahoots with demonic elder gods, but the theory never caught on and it's just languishing somewhere down the WMG page.

From what I've seen of iCarly, the kid seems alright. Kind of a jerk, pretty obnoxious maybe, but likable enough.

That little sister on Drake and Josh is a complete asshole, though.

Bonus!Comment: I honestly forget if the above two shows are on the same channel or not.

Yes, they are. They both appear on Nickelodeon. However, they are not placed in the same universe, but their actors do overlap.

Eh...there's quite a few opinions "everyone" there seems to covet that I really disagree with. Half the time, I can even Google it and still find nobody who agrees with me. It's hard not to feel uncomfortable, but thanks in part to the Personal Discontinuity page, I've learned to pretend that those entries are just my imagination playing tricks on me...which is definitely a problem, but it works for now, and if being the only one to hold a certain opinion is enough to upset me, I probably have bigger issues. ^^;

Unrelated: One of the "words" in my captcha was the quadratic formula. What the fuck?

I don't know the fandom/character in question, but I've unfortunately noticed bashing on tv tropes too, and it made me lose a little respect for a site I loved. I even tried to delete some ridiculous comments once, which were exaggerating the flaws of a fan-hated character to the point where he sounded like a heartless psychopath, and within an hour, it was reverted back to ridiculous bashing.

You shouldn't feel "out of place". You know how a lot of people say "Wikipedia isn't trustworthy, anyone can edit it"? Imagine if Wikipedia didn't at least make you try to sound knowledgeable. Even though that's not what it's meant for, a lot of people will use TV Tropes as a soapbox for random things in fandom they love/hate. Heck, it's completely possible that every single Sam hate comment you've seen is one extremely pissy fan making his hatred of her known at every single opportunity.

Really, don't take it too seriously. Like a character because you like them, not because you feel like you're "supposed" to. Don't let others, especially fandom people, guide what you do and don't like. You are your own person, you control your own destiny, and so on and so forth.
