I loved being in Mae's head a lot. She's seriously fun. I could not put the book down.

I did not know the book was in Mae's POV! That'll definitely be an interesting change from the first one. *bounces* I'm just happy this secret reminded me I still needed to pick up the book. It was released when I was on vacation, and I totally spaced it after that. XD

Huh. That seems kinda...out of the blue. I assume she has a bigger part in TDC? Because I pretty much had her pegged as a total one-off character.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised when she turned up again. She doesn't really turn into a major character until the very end or pretty near it (at least from the reader's perspective).

I am also a bit worried about it being from Sin's POV. On the other hand I was worried about TDC being from Mae's POV (mostly because I love the Ryves brothers and their interactions) and I ended up enjoying it more than the first book. Though I think that's only because I had already been in Nick's head.
...I make no sense. I know. I will blame it on my very, very, very long day.

Mae is so easy to like - she's smart, witty, caring of her brother - as well as easy to relate to because she's way in over her head with the magic thing. I don't know if Sin is going to be so sympathetic. Sarah has her work cut out for her in that regard.
