And the not-labeling fanfic? It wasn't just once or twice, it was at least three of four times over a period of a couple of months (right after the series finale) and then it just got so annoying that I left the comm over it. I don't know if it continues to happen, but I did see a flister complain about that exact thing a few weeks ago, so my guess is that it has not gone away. I mean, how is that not Fandom 101? You label your fics. I'm glad you have your ship, and yay! It's popular. I got no problem with that, but to presume that everybody else in the fandom is also a shipper is just PRETENTIOUS. It's a big pet peeve of mine, and it makes me feel like pulling my hair out.
But, yes, nothing compares to the Britta-marginalizing and hate that was implied in the "Modern Warefare re-write" meme. Dude, how did people even think that was remotely cute? "But we're just squeers!" Um, no. What you interpret as innocent fun can actually be offensive as hell.
