Why does this invalidate my opinion? I ship Doctor/Rose, but still know that a lot of their shippers are blatantly hateful toward other characters and ships. Jeff/Annie shippers don't have this same attitude.

It doesn't invalidate your opinion, it's just that Jeff & Annie shippers obviously wouldn't understand why other people respond negatively to them. Everyone who's been saying they don't understand the wank are the ones who ship Jeff & Annie. I think most of you guys are in your happy little bubbles in fandom, so you can't see/understand what's really going on outside of that bubble.

I don't really think I'm in a bubble. It's not like the only thing I read is J/A fic or the only comm I'm in is milady_milord. Besides, I think being a J/A shipper and hanging around the J/A comm and having lots of J/A friends means that I have a better understanding of how J/A shippers behave.

However, I recognize that you have clearly been offended by some J/A shippers at some point and I'm sorry for that. Some people are crazy. I just don't think this one ship is really ruining the entire fandom.
