Well, I should be more specific. I've met fandom friends, but I've always travelled to them, never vice versa. I'm not in the most exotic of places, but it'd still be nice to show someone around and take them to a few of my favorite spots. Hopefully I can make this happen one day, so I'm with you! :D

I do too, OP, but I live in a town that's pretty famous for our (impossible to eat) seafood, so I fantasize about taking them to my favorite restaurant and ordering up 2 dozen crabs, then teaching them how to eat the damned things. And then maybe taking them to some of our famous sights.

My closest fandom friends are in the football fandom and I day dream about us all meeting up in Brasil and squeeing like dorks together. I also day dream about some of them visiting me and me taking them out to places I love, not in my town but in my state since I live in a tiny town. I get excited too about having my fandom friends meeting my closest RL friends.

...One of my fandom friends didn't tell me she was in my (not large at all) town until after she'd left. I mean, it's not like I could've shown her landmarks and sights and things because she grew up here and that's how she knew I lived here since we'd talked about it before, but. Well. Yeah. :|a

I dream about this too...
What we will talk about in everyday life and where we should go to eat. It makes me happy when I think about this but, when I say to myself "I am talking to strangers in my head" it makes me feel very, very lonely and maybe even a little pathetic. I'm glad I'm not alone.
