Eh, I myself like Disney More.

Pixar fans are nuts and act entitled if their movie doesn't sweep awards show, plus spaz out hard over every trailer and project once concept art is released.

Disney fans are just more nostalgic and know what they like, hence overly defensive at times

Uhhhh I really don't wanna create drama, because I agree with this secret and love both studios and love animation in general, but I gotta stand up on something here.

Has Pixar ever made a BAD movie? Yes, some will argue that certain films wern't as good as others (Mainly Cards, tho personally that's one of my favorites), but Pixar has NEVER made a flop. Their films always get positive review averages, and most people like them, if not love them.

Now, I can't speak for the entire fandom, but personally, I get excited when Pixar shows us new concept art because it means there's a pretty darn strong chance a good animated film is on the horizon. If I saw such a strong, STEADY flow of great work from another studio, I'd get excited for their films too.

I mean, it's the same reason I get excited when Aardman announces something, or Studio Ghibli. Because they haven't let me down yet. Lately, Disney has been chruning out a lot of great animated films, so I'm starting to get excited for their work again. If Dreamworks ends up giving a few more years of great stuff like Kung Fu Panda and How To Train Your Dragon, I'll start getting excited for their films again.

I can't help that I get excited when it comes to studios that have a good track record. It's like fans of a lot of an author's books getting excited when they announce a new one.

Enjoy Pixar movies a good deal, Disney somewhat less so, and am not in either fandom. But I have to give a big THIS because I hate when fandoms decide that two perfectly good series are bitter rivals and you can't like both.

AKLSHSDG THIS! What the big deal, they all make cute movies that make me feel warm and fuzzy inside! And if one movie ends up being less than satisfactory, I hardly let it affect my view of the entire studio :/

Neutral in fandom is the most sensible position to take! I do it all the time. Because the best view is when you can see in every direction.

(And I couldn't choose between Disney and Pixar anyway... I don't look at studios, I look at movies.)

I feel the same way. I love both Disney and Pixar, but it sucks when people start arguing over how one is better than the other. The same goes for Studio Ghibli, too since I love them as well.

Personally, I'm more of a fan of Pixar's movies right now, but dangit, Disney had such an important role in the history of animation! Both studios did in different ways! The first full length animated film! The first CG full length animated film! Pixar has inspired so many young fans to look deeper into animation history, while the 9 old men and The Illusion of Life are mentioned in so many animator's autobiographies (Pixar very much included mind you) I've lost count! Ignoring either one's presence is ignoring a major factor of animation history! How can one call themselves an animation fan if they cast either one aside?!
