If they are into you for more than just sex it shouldn't matter, should it?

If they actually like you and care? They'll understand. Sex isn't always about the physical stuff, it's more than that when you care about the person. They'll just be happy to be with you.

This is so corny, but I do believe that.

Really? I can't remember reading too many fics where the character was described as that flexible--except for fics with Dick Grayson who's canonically incredibly flexible. I can think of some where they actually weren't flexible--seems like that's almost more common.

But IRL, I wouldn't worry--many many people have limited flexibility and different issues about what's comfortable.

I get the worry. I have something that also affects my mobility and it definitely makes me more self-conscious. But at the same time I try to remember if they like you and they know what's up, then they know it's going to be more inventive (think of it like that, more inventive)

Getting into crazy positions isn't all it's cracked up to be, anon. It can be uncomfortable for everyone and weird. There are plenty of ways to indulge in non-vanilla sex without turning yourself into a pretzel.

I'm incredibly kinky/sexual, reasonably flexible, and my partner has arthritis. Never once have I thought of it as an impediment. In fact, I hadn't thought about it in months until I saw this secret. You'll find what works for both of you, you really will. If your partner cares for you it won't matter if you can't do this or that position.

Pretty sure there's lots of fun, kinky stuff to do that doesn't involve a lot of flexibility.

Trust me on this. Most of the sex you've read is physically unlikely, if not impossible. Physically, anatomically, sociologically, psychologically, practically (and in a whole bunch of cases, legally) impossible. That's why it's fantasy. Don't worry about it, OP. Sex usually isn't a damn thing like it's written or imagined. It's so much better.

Plus, for what it's worth, most of it is written by people who are not actually having sex.

Meh. There are a lot of positions that are possible without being flexible. Also, like 90% of the population isn't as flexible as they would like you to believe.

And yeah, if you're with someone who actually cares about you, it's not going to matter.

Oh I seriously doubt anyone who really cares for you would give a shit.

I am only 21 yrs old and my hips are worse than my grandmothers. They hurt every day of my life and I have to have a special chair at my call center job or the pain will be unbearable by the end of my 8 hour shift.

And I'd like to think I have a very active sex life. My boyfriend careful with my hips and it doesn't bother him, because he loves me and doesn't want to hurt me. Creativity and toys take the place of awkward positions. And if we do end up doing something that makes my hips sore, it's nothing 800mg of ibuprofen can't help fix.

tl;dr: If they care about you, it's not going to matter what positions you can twist yourself in to, I promise.

I've never been flexible, and no one has ever cared that I can't put my feet behind my head.

And as other people are mentioning, smut fic isn't accurate. I remember reading het in the early days of the internet and wondering if there was something wrong with me because I didn't drip or gush with arousal like ladies in male-written smut.

Most of the sex I've had has been pretty vanilla. Actually, I think most people are vanilla, and anyway, if your partner cares about you at all, he/she will take care to make you comfortable.

A hole's a hole, and if it's more than that, it's something else entirely. What I'm trying to say here: 1) Love conquers all if it has to, 2) there are a lot of ways to be kinky, and 3) a hole. Is. A. Hole.

Imagination is the key, not flexibility. Find the positions that work, figure ways to keep things fresh between the two of you that don't hurt you, and remember there's a ton more to sex than tab A fitting into slot B. Even inflexible, there are tons of things you can do to him... or have him do to himself... or well, you get the picture.
