She wasn't exactly slutty, but she sure did lead the guys on! And her "tee hee, all the boys like me but I don't know whyyyy! I'm so average, I guess I really just don't understand the effect I have!" routine got old. It was kind of a romance series, the romantic choice was one of the main focuses vo_ov

P.S. "the subject matter" is really not as deep and serious and interesting as you seem to think it is, it's like... young adult fiction, you should probably chill out and not rage over kids' books

Yes I am totally serious. She spent 50% of her time dithering between two guys and kissing both of them to try and work out her feeeeeeeelings! They are somehow expected to passively go along with this instead of confronting her about this behaviour and encouraging her to make up her mind, because they love her ever so much.

Uh. What.

Okay. She's the image of a revolution, her feelings have been hijacked by the public, the man who she is 'supposed to love' (who she only leads on in the first book to SURVIVE) is captured and being tortured on her behalf, the other guy who she has complicated feelings for because he's protected her and her family and saved her family's life is with her all the time, and she says, clearly: I can survive fine without either of them.

She kisses Gale, sure. But then, I think that considering her position, she's confused and her emotions have been basically dictated for her, I don't think she's leading anyone on as much as she's just trying to get back control in her life. And I doubt that 'tee-hee' was any part of Katniss. She's broken. The point of the Hunger Games wasn't 'love triumphs' as much as it was 'war and violence break'.

People think that about Finnick after reading Mockingjay? Really?

I could forgive people for thinking it was a romance, though. I don't interpret it that way, but I can see how people could.

A slut? Who said? I admit I didn't like her much in Mockingjay but a slut?

And the thing about Finnick. God I'm still not over his death. :( I think people don't realise how much of his act is true sometimes. He still has that bad boy with a good heart thing that makes him a fandom sex god. But then there's his past. I don't think people can quiet put it together? I feel that way at least.

For some of the other stuff you are free to judge me however.

I'm not active in this fandom but...do people really think Katniss is a "slutty bitch?" and do people actually think being a freaking tribute would be FUN?
If so, I judge right alongside you.

Hot Topic has those shirts that say "District 12 Tribute" and I didn't understand why. I wouldn't want to be a tribute, nor would I want to wear a shirt saying I'm one.

(I did, however, buy the "Down With The Capitol!" shirt just so I could wear it to work.)
