Although to be fair, it is for good reason. As anons have said, he's pretty funny sometimes, but a lot of the time he comes across as kind of misogynistic and racist. He likes looking down on people with rape kinks, too, which will always go over well in fandom.

Oh wow I should have kept reading the anon!meme.
I agree that he can be a jackass, but being self-aware about it and sticking around (and showing you've since 'educated yourself', especially re:misogynism) instead of moping off is a plus in my book. Don't know about the rape kinks, I don't think I've seen that.

Hell, I agree that I can be a jackass. In fact, I was thinking of myself as a jackass long before all the cool kids were doing it. BUT! Every day is an education.

Saying I look down on people with rape kinks is a bit much. It's a subject I find uncomfortable (although I suppose comfort with it would be much more alarming) and one I'll admit is difficult to understand. But looking down on people? Judging them? Nah, not doing that, but I can see where being uncomfortable can come across that way. And we don't always react as best as we could when we first encounter an issue. It's not til we've had time to think that we can better form and express an opinion, but by then you've already earned yourself a label to live down.

YKINMK and all that. There's quite a couple of kinks* that crop up in f_s every now and again that I find disturbing, but I know when to keep my mouth shut. :P Idk I think there's a difference between 'that's alarming, and I find it not okay' and 'that's your business, but I don't want to know about it'.
