If it's any consolation, OP, the next episode of Rizzoli & Isles is the last one of the season, so you won't have to hear about it for nine months or so.

...and most people, at least from my experience, who 'move on' that quick, are just filling the hole left by a show being cancelled that they never saw coming. They don't love that show any less just because they spread their affection out a little more across their 'replacement' fandoms. They're just trying to dull the pain with alternative squee.

I didn't realize that people were moving on in droves. I love both pairings/both shows and figured most people did the same. (I'm on the fringes of the fandoms due to lack of time, so I haven't done any in-depth searching yet.) I'm sorry to hear that you feel like you're being deserted. :(

This. I love LOTS and I love R&I, and most of my friends who like either/or seem to feel the same. I'd hate to think I'd have to choose between them.

It's not choosing one over the other, it's about moving on from one to the other show. I'm still too hung up on the LotS fandom to even consider participating in a new one so it saddens me when I see my friends having no problem with it.

I don't feel deserted, I just feel alone in still having so much love for the LotS fandom. I love watching R&I, but I can't make myself participate in the fandom things, where my friends don't have any problem with that. I'm just sad there's no more LotS discussion among us, is all.

I feel the same way about Criminal Minds fandom... I'm aware that our femslash OTP is being broken up due to CBS being assholes and firing half of it, but perhaps my brain is just in denial and not ready to let go yet

And I just recently discovered LotS, and I hope the fandom isn't dying off :(
