Holy shiz, a Gintama secret.

I know right? Gintama has that kind of effect on you. It's so chock full of crack and yet backlashes right back at you with a gust of emotions.

Gin-san would make a horrible father. But he'd make such a kickass uncle or godfather or whatever. I think even my angsty teen self would appreciate that good morale that surfaces from that lazy pachinko-playing man from time to time.

Couldn't see Gin as a dad myself either more like a crazy uncle...or boyfriend. I still love his interactions with Shinpachi and Kagura.

And it is a very emotional series. Not alone in that regard.

I don't think GinShin is all that rare a pairing. It's just that the fandom is overwhelmingly GinHiji that nothing comes close to its popularity.

I don't know how good of a father figure Gintoki would make, but I do adore his dysfunctional family relationship with Shinpachi and Kagura. He's just as much of an immature kid as they can be, but he has his odd way of imparting wisdom on them.

And yeah. I totally ship GinShin, too.
