Oh so that was what all those messages were about the one time I went to his twitter account. I believe there was one about him feeling real sick towards the end yet still going. The man's a trooper. *respects*

Actually, I still think he's an annoying attention whore. I just don't think that and being a good, extremely charitable person are mutually exclusive. :p

Count your blessings. Remove the 'extremely charitable person' part and you'd get the likes of Donald Trump and Kanye West. THAT'S annoying.

He may be an attention whore but at least he's an interesting attention whore who tries to give back.

There are too many people out there whoring themselves out for fame who are only in it for themselves and are dull as a three day old dish water. Yes, I am looking at you, Kate Gosselin.

Anon, maybe you are right. I was going to point out the story he's been giving about being poor as a little kid, but if you really dislike him that much I can already guess that you'll say he made it up.

I, however, believe him and think that he is awesome.

Aren't we all attention whores? Seriously, point me to a person who doesn't like being loved by others. It's just Misha is successful at it and all the losers are getting jealous.

I love him, and I am in awe of his running skills. I can't run from here to the bathroom without getting winded.

He was amazing indeed. People might call him an attention-whore, but as said in the previous comments that doesn't clash with being generous and kind too. If I were him I'd totally do the same too... If I had the strenght and the breath to run :D !

You know what, I'm just going to say that whether or not he's an attention whore, he plays around with his fans and for that I love him :)

Also, yeah, almost $100,000 to charity isn't something to laugh at.

lol before i read the secret thoroughly @ the part "dislike spn dislike castiel" i was like "henrycusick is that you?"

but yeah honestly i don't give a shit about the guy, his personality, or his fangirls, but this was some heroic stuff

Eddie Izzard was amazing. He got a lot more support for it than Misha did his, is better known and it seems has less people hating on him or calling him an attention whore any time he plays back with his fans but that was bloody amazing.

The guy had to keep running several miles a day for ages after in order to 'cool down' cause of how much he did in that span.

I respect Misha for his charitable works (which seems to be what the OP is looking for) but I don't blame anyone for not getting that- because this secret is very confusing.

This. So much this.

Obnoxious, attention whore, call him whatever you want--love him or hate him--but the fact remains that there are very few people in the world who have the power to inspire such love and devotion that a throw-away joke comment could drive a few people to start a charity that would grow and develop into a non-profit superpower capable of raising $30k in a day, or $100k in a week.

And there are even fewer people who would then turn around and take an active part in the development of that organization, without trying to take it over for himself.

Call him what you will, but Misha is a superpowered catalyst for good in this generation. It's why I'm a fan.
