Yes, but Aang was in the oblivious land of 'I think she likes me', and Katara wasn't sure herself. So while it wasn't an accidental kiss, it was still accidental assault. They were discussing their relationship, and Aang thought she wanted it. Considering their friendship and the situation, while Aang was WAY out of line, I don't get up in arms about it.

...I hate Kataang, I am surprised by my own defense.

Gah! I agree with the entire point, but I'd watch that sort of sentence if I were you. If it were anything but Avatar, it would sound like a pretty normal set-up for actual rape.
