See, the idea that one can assume and say that he is straight without having to cite evidence, but one cannot assume and say he is gay without actual proof*, that seems a little unsettling, too.

Just becaue you want him to fuck Kristen Bell doesn't mean he's actually straight.

Please let's not act as if all the "He's not gay, wah, how dare you accuse him of this!!" people are in it for morally supeiour reasons. It was the ZQ/KBell shippers who wrote fics about Zach going "Eww, I'm not gay, I don't know why people think so D: D: D:"


*) And I remember a girl who was denying that Matt Bomer could possibly be gay. No "proof" was sufficient. He's saying in interviews that the network does not allow him to discuss hs personal life? No proof! Photos of him kissing a guy? No proof at all, he's still straight as an error, lalala.

Come on. Gay is normal. Some people are gay. Acknowledging this is not homophobic, it's kind of the opposite.

Hasn't he had girlfriends in the past? I mean I know that doesn't mean he is straight but I think that would give us a little more reason to think he's straight than gay if we're going with the 'proof' angle. I'm not saying he's not gay, I'm just saying we have no proof.

Also, not that it really has anything to do with anything, I don't want him to fuck Kristen Bell. I don't even like her or care who either one of them is fucking and I've never read ZQ/KB fanfic either so I don't know anything about that.

If he comes out and says "I'm gay" then I'll say GREAT! but until then I won't assume to know either way.

None that we know of, no (aside from a few baseless rumors). Nor boyfriends, for that matter (aside, again, from a few baseless rumors).

Why should, in the absence of any confirmation from him one way or the other, people automatically assume he's straight?

Well I didn't know that he'd never have any significant other that we knew of. But anyway, people probably assume that he's straight because the majority of people are straight. You can say it's homophobic to assume someone is straight unless told otherwise but it really is far more likely.
