I always hear about what a sweetie she is and how she's so nice. It always makes me happy that she's still so down-to-earth and kind, even though she had some rough times.

Is she the most amazing artist? No. But I'm a person who thinks that making and performing pop music is a definite form of art (as opposed to "crap," which is how a lot of people regard pop, unfortunately), and I think she is great at what she does. I can't imagine what she went through back in her "dark days," and I admire her so much now that she's coming out of them. What an accomplishment. I mean, she probably at least suffered from depression then, and had to deal with everyone in the whole world watching a judging and following her. It's easy to see why she broke down like that. I probably would've been worse if I was in her position while I was dealing with my depression.

Besides, she gave us "Toxic," one of the best pop songs of the last decade, so I will always have at least a bit of respect for her.

I never cared much for her music, but I'm so annoyed by the kind of media scrutinty she's getting. I mean, some fucked up wankers basically shove their zoom lenses between her legs, and she's the immoral one for not wearing underwear? I wish her all the best, and many many loyal fans. :D

Dude, idec what people say. I like Britney Spears. Especially in her stuff where she's sticking it to them. Child celebrities have a high rate of being pretty fucked up and I feel like she's trying to pull herself together. The spotlight's harsh.
