Nah. I was in the same situation you are - liked classic rock as a youngin and kinda got mocked for it - but the Beatles are hip nowadays because of Rock Band.

You know, I was about 12 when I became obsessed with the Beatles (holy crap, that's more than half my life now!) and while I was never teased for liking the Beatles, I definitely got a lot of, "Why? They're old..."

I think it's easier for kids today, tbh. Not quite sure why, but more young kids seem to like them than back when I was in middle school.

I got into them when I was 12 too, that was a few years ago and I wasn't mocked for liking them or anything. The only oldies musician I got mocked for liking was Diana Ross.

I've loved The Beatles for all my 18 years of life. My parents are both huge fans, so there ya go. I was never mocked for it - most people I know love The Beatles, even when I was in junior high. It was more likely for us to mock people for not knowing/liking The Beatles than the other way around.

I was made fun of for liking them in middle school too, but when I got to high school they were considered cool. (So I was too. Haha.)

But I wonder about the same thing too. On one hand, they seem to be coming back in style with Rock Band and everything, and picking up new fans along the way. But on the other hand, I'm sure there's still the "eeww my parents like that song" mentality. Honestly it could go either way. I just hate to see people made fun of for the things they like, whether they are Beatle-y in nature or not. :(
