So this is the thing, about her. She does these comics and then part way through she gets kinda bored with the main characters and the story she's started and gets more into the side characters. So then she short changes the story she spent all that time on and everyone was into, and faffs off and starts over with her new favorites in the central roles.

I wish she'd do short run stories that have a definite end, but whatever. If you are sort of annoyed by this, don't read her comics. If you think it's kind of cool, keep reading them. But she's done this more than once.

N!S1: I'm not quite sure what you mean by this, but I really like that picture.

TB1: Oh my word, this is a great theory. I like the idea that, even in animal form, Snape still has an extremely sexy voice. XD

TB3. If your friends are taking a webcomic so seriously that they will hate you for having a different opinion, rather than, say, being respectful about it and agreeing to disagree; you need to get new friends.

TB4. This. Every time I see a trigger that mentions being raped or molested as a kid, yet never mentions therapy, all I can think is "Well, what are you waiting for?"

Therapy is expensive as fuck. Even if you have the money for it, it's often difficult to get a therapist to see you.

Yeah, I know that. Still, if one has the money for it, then there is no reason that they shouldn't at the least make an attempt.
Also, occasionally insurance will pay for therapy.

Otherwise, there isn't much I can tell ya.

Therapy is not an instant fix. It can take years before you make any progress whatsoever, and even intensive therapy over the course of years may not get rid of someone's triggers. From what I've heard, PTSD is very hard to treat, for both the patient and the therapist.

I KNOW it isn't an instant fix, but it can help someone cope better than they can alone sometimes. I'm not saying that it is MAGICKAL FIX DESU~ I'm saying that if people have the option (moneywise, etc. etc.) then they should at least try it.

How do you know they aren't? Your comment implies that everyone who talks about getting triggered should just get some therapy, as if getting therapy would instantly cure them of their PTSD.

Didn't I just explain that I know therapy isn't an east fix or an instant cure? Seriously, pay the fuck attention son.

I go to therapy, but I still talk about my ~feeeelings~ on the internet. Doing one doesn't necessarily preclude the other.

For me (at least) this raises the question: are there any AUs in which Snape is sorted into Gryffindor? (He'd be a dark one, as befits this secret, but I could see it.)

If you don't want to counsel people, don't. No one's making you. And yes, F!S is no one's therapist. But sometimes people do want to reach out and help other people.
