Seriously? XD I just had the same problem with it. I belonged to the yaoi comm for a really long time. I was accepted by them then but when I came back after about a year, there were a lot of people who didn't know me and those who did know me acted like they didn't. I used to be a really frequent member there and I was brought down to the level of noob to them in one post. WUT. MGS is a hilarious fandom. It's not some elitist thing. Half of its history is fictional and it even makes fun of itself.

They all act like they've been through all the world wars or something or like they all have PHDs in history. I was convinced that they're all just full of themselves. =\
