It's just kind of about the general format of the game. It's a really huge game with a lot going on, and the general caliber of play is very good, so it can be an extremely overwhelming experience at times. I also usually do serious roleplaying and not humor/crack, so I worry about my ability to be funny.

OMG OKAY I totally know what you mean. Well, no, I don't, because the game I'm in is fairly serious, but the people I play with really like to joke around and do humour/crack RP, and I always freeze up when it gets there. I just don't think I'm good at humour/crack. And I believe a good many people in my game are far better writers, which always flusters me a little since most of them are also younger than me. Sometimes I feel like I'm not good enough to be there. The game's always moving along at breakneck speed and there's literally hundreds of characters, and at times, I just can't keep up.

Not to turn this into a ME ME ME thing. XD But you know, from the sounds of it, at least one person really enjoys playing with you. And if I'm mistaken about that... I hope the game stays good enough to keep you in it, and I hope the fun you have more often than not outshines your anxiety. I don't know if it'll mean anything, but you're definitely not alone in feeling this, and I bet more than one person in that game also feels the same way. That's what I try to keep in mind when I start beating myself up. We're always our worst critics, and all that, yeah?

Heh, no worries about tl;dr! I appreciate your thoughts, and I'll keep it in mind. I know this is kind of an "everybody hurts" thing, really...
