It's not official or anything.
I think it's just one of the worries/fears/speculations that some of the fans have. No one knows what Amber's doing and SM isn't giving any updates about her, so I think a few fans feel like she probably left f(x). BUT, again, it's not official or anything. There could be a million different reasons why we aren't seeing any Amber, and that's just one of them. :/
Let's be more positive though, okay!?
Let's have more hope that she'll return soon. ^______________^
