Which is why killing off Cordy/writing her out was completely stupid, she cheered everybody (especially Angel) up and there were some moments of fun between all the depressing shit. It was killing the heart of the show. It'd be like killing off Xander. I also think the original plan of her being the Big Bad was equally stupid.

*whimpers* Such a cute GIF. I really did love Cordy. She changed so much over the years and yeah, I shipped the hell out of her and Angel. But then she DIES! GAH! I will give it one thing, "Your Welcome" was a very nice send-up to her at the least.

Seriously! I love that she was the bright, but snarky spot in the show, but the writers had to destroy her for the sake of a Big Bad arc. I guess at leas she didn't become a villain of her own accord, but still, just. No.

Goooooood I know. I started watching it late in the game after borrowing all the DVDs from a friend, and once Cordy died I just threw my hands in the air and said 'fuck it, not even inevitable puppets episode is worth this'
I've never finished the show. I don't see the point.

YES. Killing off Cordy was the worst fuck up in the history of the Buffy-verse. I think Joss was just spread way too thin trying to juggle three shows (and trying to keep Firefly afloat) that when Charisma Carpenter ended up pregnant and they couldn't do the storyline they had planned for her, they really just threw up their hands and gave up. I think things would have been handled way better if things had been different behind the scenes.
