Well this secret is just awesome. I re-watch this film all the time, (though I tend to skip through all the flying). And I'm pretty sure I wrote most of the fanfic for it.

Heh, my sister's in the Navy as an Air Traffic Controller, and she and all her engineer/pilot/etc mates love this film. They once got bollocked for signalling planes to land like they do in the film :D

my film prof was one of the writers. according to him, the ...um... commentary... was not intended, but he was pretty okay with that reading of the material. seemed to find it interesting and funny.
