We heard from many of our users in regards to these changes and we appreciate your feedback. Tinypic has restored linking to your images and enabled uploading. Please rest assured no content was removed from the site. We tried to notify users on Tinypic and requested they move their content to Photobucket. Unfortunately this messaging was insufficient and has taken many of our users by surprise and we apologize. Our intent was to begin combining some of the best features of Tinypic and Photobucket, thereby offering users a better experience. Any changes in the future will be better communicated. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience.

I already didn't understand why they would offer an image uploading site where 3/4 of the world couldn't even see what you uploaded.

I kind of think we should shun it anyway. It seems prone to dick moves. Also, if it still bans South America that sucks a lot. :/

I'm not sure if anyone is interested....

Anon with the friend whose boyfriend works at PB here. Just talked with my friend.
From what I can understand, for quite awhile now, PB has been discussing the removal of TinyPic from most countries because they don't have copyrighting laws. PB is in constant fear of copyright lawsuits and since many countries do not have copyright laws they had/have been getting a lot of complaints from layers of so and so and it is more difficult to mod photos at tinypic since most of the photos being uploaded are not signed up with an account. Something to that effect....my friend wasn't making much sense to me.
TinyPic is back now but I think they're still trying to come up with a way to get rid of TinyPic in most countries.

tl;dr: Your country doesn't have copyright laws, TinyPic doesn't want to work for you.

PS. Apparently my friend's boyfriend is leaving PB soon so I probably won't have news if anything else does happen (which it probably will). For future reference, blame it on money and copyrighting.
