It's okay anon. I know some people don't like it, and I know I spam with how often I update. It's coming to an end soon, and then I'll continue my other fics. Can you tell me which one you'd like to see next? I can barely keep my thoughts in order anyway. (As you've apparently discerned from Family Ties.)

I can barely understand why people like it so much either. Maybe because it has a lot of popular characters and ships in it. I love my little monster fic, but I'm more proud of the works I put extra extra research into, like Centre of the World or Vincere, or even my humor fics like Think Right, Drive Left.

This comment is turning out really long. I'll shut up now and crawl back into my hole.

I have to say I didn't expect you to respond to this ^^;

Thanks so much for not hating me and please don't take this as meaning you're a horrible writer, you're not. As I said in the secret, I like your other works (Vincere & Yours and Mine in particualar). Family Ties just doesn't work to me for a number of reasons like what I stated in the secret. I know I should scroll on by, but I well... I posted this secret in a fit of emotion and spent the whole week sort of wishing I hadn't, I'm glad you're taking it so well.

Your drabbles, your historially based fic and especially your UK!sibs stories are great and I really hope to see more of those in the future. The research you do always shows itself and they're a pleasure to read.

So ah, I'll wrap up my comment in again thanking you for taking this so gracefully and I look forward to reading your future works.

Why would I hate you for your opinion? You're entitled to it. Awww that's sweet of you to say I'm a good writer, but there are a million better ones in this fandom than me. The fact you like Yours/Mine is something I will pass on to my dear friend and co-writer nenamoo, I'm sure it'll thrill her. (And we will get round to updating someday, I swear. >>)

Recently I haven't had much time for my other fics and my drabbles, unfortunately, despite the fact I still have a million ideas.

Speaking of future works someone remind me to never write a story based in the future ever again orz Making up future-history is hard.

Knee-jerk response from past experience of when someone disagrees about something that is reasonably popular, whereupon fans immediately leap upon the dissenter with fangs bared, I'm afraid >_>;

Future-history is hard, even when you have a good understanding of the way politics work and how wars are fought. I respect you for trying it, even if I don't personally like the result.

Yes, that is rather unfortunate. I honestly hope nobody gets het up over this, I really don't mind if you don't like it. Well, it is a little saddening, since everyone wants what they do to be like, but if you don't, you don't, and that's that.

My god, is it ever. I am not a politics major, my own education in history was pathetic and most of the stuff I know now was self-taught from Hetalia and my own research (wiki-walking for hours). And really, who wants a future where the British Isles are being rained on by irradiated water from the Irish Ocean, Omsk is a smoldering crater and Quebec gets independence because Canada dies horrifically?

I wish people would stop reccing that fic to me. I don't hate it or feel any rage toward it, but I've never wanted to read it, it keeps being rec'd to me when I'm not asking for recs, and there being an OC of my country featured in that story does not mean I'll suddenly become interested.

This is why I never write out accents in my fics, I never trust myself to get them right. Better to let the readers imagine for themselves.

Accents being written out almost never sound anything like the accents they're meant to be. I think I've seen one instance where it's actually worked, but most of the time, the fillers rely on general stereotypes (sometimes for the wrong country) to the point where the character no longer sounds like anyone from Hetalia.

All I can remember of that one is distinctly not liking any of the OCs, even though someone insisted to me they were the BEST THING IN HETALIA FANFICTION EVER and I'd love how my country was depicted.

I've read the first few parts from when it was on the kinkmeme. The next I saw of it was when it was de-anoned and it went on the mental to do list of fics. The thing that's putting me off it the most at the moment is the length (more a personal problem with attention span than anything) and so my reaction to another update is more "oh god, this is going to take forever to read (when I finally get round to it)".

Complaining about praise always strikes me as odd. Here it's more or less explained, but it can come across as "how dare they like something I don't", really it has nothing to do with the author themselves, but they still get the complaints.
