I care! I still re-watch this series all the time. It always broke my heart that we never got to see more of Veronica and Lily. I would've loved more flashbacks.

I'm torn, though. The incest storyline would've been more interesting, but... Daddy Mars needs to be Daddy Mars!

Also, I don't know how it is in California, but Veronica still would've been Keith's daughter legally as well because she was born while he was married to Lianne. Basically, the law assumes the guy a woman is married to is also her baby-daddy if she gets pregnant while they're married and thus legal custody is given to said husband.

So, yeah, Daddy Mars still would've been Daddy Mars.

I still care, too! Veronica Mars is one of my all-time favourites. I've seen the series 5 times and I'm nearly done my 6th go around. :)

I didn't like the idea of them being siblings, because I just really don't like incest and I liked Duncan. Plus, Keith being her real dad, I think, is essential just for that scene where he tells her she signed away nothing because they really are related. It was sweet.

Regardless of DNA, the man who raised her would still be her real father. Both of my parents are adopted and not sharing DNA (beyond all of us being, you know, human) does not make my grandparents any less my grandparents. I don't love my parents more because they gave me brown eyes and brown hair and my shortness, and I don't love my grandparents more (or less) because they didn't. DNA just means you (probably) have more viable and readily available candidates to donate a kidney (or whatever) should you need it; that's all.

Setting aside the whole Keith being her dad issue, I would have wanted them to be related just so they couldn't get back together in S2! Bleh. I hated Duncan.
