What gives you the impression that most of his in-game actions are "the result of someone else taking advantage of him"? I'm having trouble seeing it.

I think the anon might of been trying to refer to how he wouldn't have been able to successfully do the things he did if it wasn't for a certain someone giving him the power to do so, ie being able to push people into the TV world. In a way, he was being used by that person to make people become shadows/our world become connected to the TV world quicker...

...But it still doesn't excuse what he had attempted to do to his first two victims, considering the bad implications of what he could of almost done and all if it wasn't for them falling into the TV world, so. He's a murderer no matter how you look at it, whether he was being taken advantage of ability-wise or not and was fully aware that what he was doing was wrong, unlike Namatame who was the one truly being taken advantage in this game based on his in-game actions of pushing people into TVs, as he was under the impression that he was helping people, not hurting them.

I tried to reason along those lines as well, but in the end there's really no way to call that "someone else taking advantage of him", is there? So yes, I completely agree with your 2nd paragraph.

I think a big plus of P4 is that pretty much EVERY character is relatable. And I'm not gonna berate anyone for their sexual fantasies or what have you.

It's been a while since I played but it always seemed to me that Adachi's relatable because he's disillusioned- he lost the innocent joy of his life, he lost his dreams, he lost all of hopes of fulfillment and individuality. He's constantly abused and looked down upon, and he has to put on a smiling face and live in a position he considers beneath him in order to survive. How is that not relatable, haha?

Though if you identify with him because he's an attempted rapist, then yeah, issues, haha.
