Years back, if anyone had told me Shane would become hands down the most interesting character on the show, I'd have called them a liar. I thought for sure he'd never break free from the oddball/lone voice of morality/precocious child role, which was kind of annoying.

so, SO agreed. My friend put it recently in a phrase I've totally stolen: "Shane Botwin is my secret pedolove." YUP. I've always thought he was a really well-written character and had a big soft spot for him over Silas, but now that he's all young-sociopath I am into that in a way I never thought possible.
