I'm kind of happy that the fandom is slowing down, since school makes my life way too busy to keep up with things the way they were a month or two months ago. I have literally dozens of 10k+ fics tagged to read, and even now, I'm still bookmarking two for every one I get through.

I'm not sure if OP is just used to freaking massive fandoms, or maybe has never had a fandom before, but yeah, Inception is NOT dead by any means. Go to a minor comics community and see what dead really is.
