Yeah it's honestly kind of sad the amount of people who are going "WELL THIS WASN'T TAUGHT IN SCHOOL SO HOW WOULD I KNOW IT!?" By... uh... being interested in things and looking them up? Or watching documentaries or reading books? Also a lot of the internet - and so I'm assuming most of F!S - is pretty atheistic and the whole thing about vertebrates sharing the same structure is such cool evidence for evolution that it surprises me people don't know of it. I mean, the whole internet is here with practically all the knowledge mankind possesses, and yet... ):

I knew the hardness scale of minerals (DO YOU??) when I was eight years old but that's only because I was interested enough in geology to read about it, I didn't expect anyone else I knew to give a fuck about it, including my parents or teachers (who didn't, btw)
