THIS to both the above--I came out of my first viewing with A/E on the brain (and I have the weakest slash-goggles; they hardly ever work without prompting) but that scene didn't even enter into it. Honestly, I find the fixation on it sort of vexing, especially given the backlash.

If by "entire worlds" you mean regurgitating the same boring slash tropes on the same interchangable white characters and telling the same boring stories with them, with an occasional "darling" thrown in to make it seem different, than sure. I bet you could replace Arthur and Eames with Arthur and Merlin more than half the time and not even notice.
