IKR? I think I've drawn stick figures with more weight on them than some of the Sailor Scouts in that picture.

it's troublesome, really.

on the one hand they are such great inspiration for being awesome, on the other hand, that awesomeness combined with the obvious fat-hate in the series really makes it just too damn easy to use it as thinspiration. in fact, i remember that bunny / sailor moon got told at least once that she can't be a tough fighter if she "continues being so lazy and eating so much" (or something to that effect) :\

Not really, Mamoru did sort of chide her all of once because she was eating too many sweets lately, "even though it ended up saving us this time." xD; Because a bit of chub round Usagi/Bunny's belly ended up tearing the too-small tutu that was forcing her and Chibimoon/Minimoon to dance and dance and dance.

So then she beat the Lemures' behind.

Although many of the random schoolgirls did want to be thinner in the first series.

I don't know much about the manga, though.
