My fear is mainly that my future child might try and read them all at once or have the book spoiled for them because the movies are readily available and so many people know the plot. Them not liking it is simply not an option, as I'll probably read it to them when they're very young.

My dad read to me "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" when I was in the second grade, despite him being dyslexic. Reading is so hard for him he RARELY reads books, but he wanted to get me interested it reading so that I'd do better in school.

It worked. C: I'm totally gonna read the Chronicles of Narnia or Harry Potter (or both!) to my kids when they're young. Kids love good stories.
