Then they shouldn't be posting it on the net, should they? Once your drawings are out there, they're free game for everybody. If you've been stolen from countless times you'd think you'd learn not to post where your groupies can get at it. Or, alternatively, learn not to care about said groupies because they aren't harassing you; they're using your drawings for roleplay visuals and journal icons which is pretty harmless if you ask me. =| If I had any interest in making icons I probably wouldn't use art unless the artist told me it was okay, since that's just common courtesy, but taking hissy fits over uncredited icons strikes me as profoundly stupid.

Does it really matter what the Japanese think of the English-speaking fans anyway?

(I wouldn't say that 99% of it is ripped from Japanese sites either. I see tons from DA and Livejournal; I think I've come across this icon here while browsing Deviantart one day, actually. And I'm still using it because it's pretty. Oh noes, I'm a bad person, aren't I? And so is vyctori for making it, yes?)
