Yeah. I totally had a crush on Kovu as a kid. (And yeah, it's something about Scar's side of the family: amazing voice actors. Jeremy Irons? Unf. And Jason Marsden as Kovu. In fact, I only recently figured out that all the crushes on animated characters that I had over the past were largely because they were all voiced by him: Max Goof from a Goofy Movie, Haku from Spirited Away, Kovu, etc.)

I have pretty much had a crush on Kovu since I first saw the film when I was eight (just for the record, furry haters who are around today, I haven't developed any crushes on cartoon animals since my age was in single digits). I'm pretty sure everyone I have admitted this to while sharing embarrassing childhood crushes has agreed with me. THE LION KING 2 WARPED A WHOLE GENERATION, CLEARLY.

that being said, rad secret. Ive said it before, Kovu was a fantastic character that The Lion King needed to make, but he was surrounded by absolutely horrible writing and baaaad characterizations.
