i love ke$ha more than gaga, too

but i like both, and i don't love ke$ha more by a HUGE amount

Hate both of them equally, so...

I like Ke$ha more because she seems to be more... natural and approachable. Like I think I could be friends with her, or at least classmates. She does silly things but she is still someone I could sit next to in a lesson or in the canteen or something. But with Lady Gaga... I don't know, maybe she really is like that or maybe she does it only to get more attention, but she seems more and more delusional like she is so amazing and wonderful and she will save the world and stuff. She does great music but she is not the Messiah, come on!

And I think Ke$ha is prettier. Lady Gaga can look amazing but most of the time she has too weird clothes/hair/make-up etc. I know many people don't like how Ke$ha looks but I think she looks lovely most of the time.

I think they're both awful.

I love Gaga, and am only okay with Ke$ha, but I think they are both doing kind of a parody of being a pop star, and I think that's interesting. I think Gaga's a better musician, but Ke$ha has just as much attitude and personality, and she's simpler than Gaga, which can often be a benefit (yeah, I still don't get how the meat dress was a commentary on gay rights).

Plus, they are both LOADS better than Katy Perry :|

I like both of their music. They both understand the demographics they're aiming for, and I think they are both good at what they do for the personas they have built for themselves.
That being said, I think Ke$ha is catchy as hell, usually more so than Lady Gaga. And ngl, Boots & Boys is my jam~

i like Kesha because she's a troll with catchy music, and i like Gaga because she never fails to amuse me (and again, catchy music)

I thought I was the only person who enjoyed ke$ha unironically.

I never got why people are hung up on creativity and originality in pop music, though. I don't care. Trash is fun.

I also just lol'd when spellcheck flagged unironically and suggested moronically instead.

Lady Gaga's music is not original or creative, it's her crazy outfits and attention tricks that make her look like some new David Bowie. If she looked like Ke$ha she would be just like any shitty electropop artist today.

I really don't think GaGa fans are as bad as most people believe. There is one user and his/her friends on ONTD and GaGa communities who stantroll for GaGa and I think they're the ones who give us a bad name. I've talked to so many other GaGa fans who are open-minded, kind, and actually understand the fact that not everybody is going to like the same things and people that they do. Realistically, they won't tolerate anyone talking crap about Lady GaGa and I've seen them get pretty vicious, but the haters are no different in terms of bashing someone to no end.

Sorry, I kind of needed to set that all free.

But to get back on topic; I don't like Kesha. I don't dislike or hate her, I just haven't given her much of a chance because I don't want to. I think if she does something extraordinary, then I'll start paying more attention to her. But until then...

And as for Lady GaGa, I think this goes without saying lol I love that free bitch.

I love Ke$ha but I always get shit for liking her ): I love Gaga too, but I can't really compare them, they're different people with different music and styles.

I don't love either of them, but I prefer Gaga because a) her music is better and she has legitimate talent, and b) she seems more politically aware.

Ke$ha's just trash.

I, unfortunately, cannnot compare the two simply because I have never heard Ke$ha sing without the horrid autotune shit she loves putting in her songs, making it difficult to assess her talent. I saw the her performing on SNL and it was absolutely awful. Her voice was shit and she looked so awkward and nervous on stage, I just lost any respect for her. It just makes me feel that she dresses and appears the way she does simply to make up for her lack of singing talent. Granted, the same argument could be applied to Gaga, but she's performed live and a capella plenty of times and it sounded good.

So...I think you can figure out where I stand here. I'm not a hard core Gaga fan, but I enjoy her music and I honestly don't get why people insist on comparing her and Ke$ha to one another.

I completely agree about Ke$ha's songs being catchier than GaGa. She's prettier, nice, simple and talented.
But I still prefer GaGa by far. Ke$sha's songs fail on appealing me the way GaGa's songs do. And her crazyness amuse me in a way that's impossible for me not to end liking her.

I might still give an oportunity to Ke$ha, if only she could do something really remarkable...

I listen to both, but I prefer Lady Gaga, because I believe she has great vocal and musical talent. Ke$ha just sing-talks, and yeah her music is catchy and I'll listen to it when I want some background music, but I'd never pay money to go see her or anything.

I can one up that: I couldn't tell Katy Perry from Lady Gaga. There was a song, but i just couldn't figure out which one of them was singing it. I've had to drop out of current pop music for the past month to try and redevelop some musical taste/recognition skills.

Oh man I could have written this. I love them both, a -lot-, but I agree so much. I thought I was totally alone in this!
