(I'm ashamed to say I'd probably read it- but then at 8 pages it would hardly take over my life.)
Out of curiosity... which author do you suspect?

It possibly is just bull.
But personally I'd think bad!fic and silly fandom drama while not exactly desirable would show in some way I'd really made it in some form.
(Is that weird?)
Then again having any fandom at all to original work would be awesome to me though I guess if I would if it came down to it, I'd prefer people not to be complete bitches to one another over it.
