They made him older in 2, and then cut him out completely in 3 - maybe to break away from the Basara comparisons heh. I know people who are MAD crazy about Basara but I started with the KOEI franchise so it's hard for me to break away.

But the fandom of Basara is funny sometimes, so I'm happy with both.

So who are the main ships in the Basara fandom? I'm guessing Yukimura and Date. I didn't know Date was cut out in SW3. I have it on the wii but haven't played it cause I hateeeeeeeeeeeeee the wii. The graphics are horrible.

I'm so used to the Koei versions that I can't accept most of the Basara versions. The Koei ones are much more pretty like Mitsuhede (sp?) and Mitsunari.

It's coming out for ps3 next year in January :)

The main pairings in Basara (including the Yukimura/Date one) are mostly focused around Date's vassal Kojuro Katakura and Date along with Yukimura and his *assistant* couterpart I guess? Sarutobi Sasuke. There's also Motonari Mori and Motochika Chokosabe. But those are the main ones, which are pretty much unstoppable.

I agree with you on the Koei ones, Mitsuhide was pretty awesome and Mitsunari was a school crush for me. I remember playing it as a little kid and I was refusing to believe Ranmaru was a boy.

I'm surprised of the Kojuro one. Is it the same Kojuro/Kojiro as in samauri warriors that has this hard on for Mushi Meamoto (sp?)?

I don't even know Sarutobi Sasuke, Motonari Mori sounds vaguely familiar and so does Chokosabe. I think they are minor chars in the Koei series. It's like when Kotaro Fuma and Nagamasa in SW1 and then they got their own chars.

Different, one. I think Kojuro only appeared in Samurai Warriors as a sub character. I think KOEI just loves throwing darts at which character they want to feature (besides the already popular ones)

Motochika Chokosabe appeared in the extreme legends of #2 so his story wasnt very exciting but he's featured always playing the shamisen, Motonari Mori is completely new in 3, but I remembered killing him a lot of times in the old ones as a general lol.

What are you talking about? Date Masamune wasn't cut out in Samurai Warriors 3. He's there with an updated design and features prominently in a couple of stories.

Yeah I had giant memory fail and only realised a while later - and since f!s threads have a lifespan of a day I didn't want to beat a dead horse. :\
