3. Word. I hate people who treat fandom like a sickness or disease or talk about it like it's for stupid kids who haven't grown up. I mean, giving up fandom because one associates it with bad times or simply lost interest is one thing, but "I've outgrown it" makes it sound like once you hit a certain age you're not supposed to like fandom anymore.

6. No, you're wrong. The people who make up having AS are doing it to get the sympathy card and make those of us who DO have it look like assholes by association.

3. Wendy Pini (creator of ElfQuest) once said that about fandom and it kind of broke my heart. D:

But I guess she felt that her experience in fandom as a young girl was an unhealthy thing even though it's how she met her husband.

When I'm a published writer and career woman, I am totally still going to participate in fandom. I can't wait to make fake accounts and write badfic of my own stories!

I hope I never decide to give up fandom, it's just so much fun.
