So... Er... They didn't like your cosplay/choice of character/none of the above?

I'm very curious to know what the cosplay was... but I expect it's the type that will give the secret away to those involved in and instant... Still, I dare to ask: What was the cosplay in question?

It was... how shall I say it... it was more revealing than they were comfortable with me wearing. One of those costumes that you look at and wonder how the fuck it's staying on the person. I, of course, knew how it was staying on me and that it would indeed stay on me; they were embarassed by it, for a while thought it might fall off me at any moment, and were generally uncomfortable with it (and with me) for most of the convention.

I thought it was just going to be an isolated incident that we'd learn from. Then we broke up. :(

I'm really sorry to hear that :(

On the one hand I can understand a protective partner feeling toward a skimpy cosplay, but I could also see the need to respect and learn from it in future.

For what it's worth, I'm sure it was a very brave thing for you to cosplay and I hope you got some positive feedback, as it were XD;;;;

Thanks. I did eventually change it a bit so it was less "falling-off"-ish, too. I just wish a stupid mistake of a costume choice hadn't ruined (or start to ruin, if it indeed wasn't the cause but I think it was, thus the secret) what was otherwise, at least for me, an amazing relationship.

I did get a lot of "Wow, you're brave" comments at the con, but caught some flack on the internet afterwards. But that wasn't anything I wasn't expecting.
