I have no idea why everybody thinks Ciel should bottom. That's the main reason why I'm not involved in this fandom. I've always thought he's obviously a true seme (or will become one when he hits puberty).
Should I mention why Sebastian totally bottoms?

Seeing the term 'chan slash' used unironically sent me on this weird timewarp bad trip to 2001 and the M/A arcive. SHUDDER.

I think the tone of the whole secret is rather ironical.

And I judge people who put him in sexual situations in the first place given the hints that he was sexually abused in the past. It squicks me so bad.

Yeah basically this. He seems to have horrible stress disorder and flips out sometimes even if he sees blood or gore. I really don't think cock is something that helps him.

I used to feel that way, and then I started thinking that there really isn't anything "wrong" with him (or anyone who's been abused) owning his sexuality and finding a way to heal, and gain control over it/his past in his own way.

Which is why I do support him sexually experimenting and specifically topping Sebastian. He'd have complete control over the situation and what was allowed to happen. It's a bit (or a lot) of a grey area with him being so young, but he is obviously mature for his age, and if that were the way he found to recover from his past trauma, I'd understand.

It annoys me a lot more that people only pair him up with Seabass, many fangirls even claiming it to be canon.

...honestly I'm generally a little confused about the idea that topping or bottoming in sex reflects your true personality. Oh, fandom.

Especially in this fandom, where it's canon that Sebastian is bound to do whatever Ciel says until the contract is fulfilled. So basically, Ciel will get what he wants out of it; it's up to the writer what that will be.

I'm not in the fandom, never watched the show or whatever, so I don't think my opinion counts. I guess he is younger, smaller and more feminine, so that could be where people are pulling the "bottom" from (pretty stereotypical physical reflection of the uke's uke-ness), but isn't he the master and the other guy his butler? Doesn't that count for anything?

Now see, normally I'd ignore this, but the HURR I JDGE U part makes me rather annoyed since obviously you're only judging people like yourself; the ones who ignore every point of the series for you own sick pleasures. So, shut up a little.

Well, I for one agree with everyone upthread who says that Ciel is clearly a top. But that is the exact reason why I love to see him bottom.

As for Sebastian, I'm pretty sure he just does whatever suits him at the moment.
