is this like some kind of, 'I'm insecure about my femininity so I like gay dudes because it cuts the women out of the equation, therefore if you are an attractive female slash fan you are harshing my buzz' thing? if so, that's depressing. and I can almost see where the OP is coming from.

I...uh. Damn. Here I was just reading it as "I'm ugly and a slash fan and was hoping by making friends in this group they would hopefully be ugly as well and not make me feel bad about my own looks." Don't think misogyny is what's on OP's mind.

Well, there is the stereotype that slash fans are unattractive women...I guess OP was expecting this and even hoping maybe. I think OP has bad self-image and thinks that putting down a certain group for their looks is the way to go. But maybe I'm over thinking.
