Nothing exists in a vacuum! That's the phrase I was looking for. (And nearly mistyped as "nothing exists in a bathroom".)

I'm still in two minds about whether to go to special trouble to watch S2 because the last thing I want to see are Ryan Murphy's hamfisted attempts at putting srs bsns in his Glee. He's bad at it, but he still does it. Why?

but for realsies, don't bother going to extra effort to see S2. It's a LOT of preachy stuff in between only a few awesome moments. I'm also in it mainly for the comedy and I've found 95% of this season to be a total drag >.
