I understand you.

Well, maybe I don't, not about the fangirling. For me it was terrible when a friend of mine started playing and she was so horrible at the game and dragged everybody down. I think with L4D it's a special case because L4D is a game where every member of the team counts VERY much and a single player can drag down a team considerably. I would have been fine with that if the group that I played with before hadn't been such super serious business guys always telling everybody what to do and jumping on you if you did something wrong. But when she started playing of course it was all pumpkins and kittens and nothing was her fault, while it was still okay to yell at me. That's why I felt she fucked up my experience.

I stopped playing with them and started playing with laidback guys. You can do it too, OP. Just let it go. Find a new group and have fun with them. Steam is big enough for both of you!
